Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said on Friday that no new political party would face any obstruction in the conduct of any movement in this multi-party democratic country, but would not be allowed to damage people’s lives and property. .

“If someone (a group) wants to form a party, they can do it because there is a multi-party democracy here. There will be no obstruction here,” she said at a meeting of the Awami League central working committee at its official residence, Ganabhaban.

Sheikh Hasina said BNP-Jamaat is always hyperactive in making every development activity of government controversial. “No matter how good a job we do, they are trying to create controversy. BNP-Jamaat is hyperactive here,” she said.

Noting that new parties are being formed, the PM said she asked the IGP on Thursday that those who wish to form new political parties should be allowed to do so. “Let them form parties and work because it is essential in Bangladesh,” she said.

“If they want to bring out processions, they can. Why are we training their processions? They can do all kinds of movements, but they cannot burn people to death and cause damage to life and property. We will have to deal with it, ”she said.

Hasina said the Awami League government has ensured development in all sectors of the country, including education and health.

She said that Bangladesh has achieved comprehensive development significantly and rural people are also benefiting from a touch of this development. “Today, 99.99% are covered by electricity. ”

“As the wheel of development turns, Bangladesh has achieved developing country status despite unnecessary false propaganda against Bangladesh. Even some people in our country are doing propaganda claiming that it is not fair to say that Bangladesh has become a developing country. It is very unfortunate ”, declared the Prime Minister.

Hasina, also president of the Awami League, asked each member of her working committee to work against the propaganda.

“Each member of our working committee will have to remain attentive to them and who they are, what their goals are and what they want to do. The LA members must know them, protest and do whatever is necessary to counter them, ”she said.
