Haitian political organization Fanmi Lavalas calls for mass mobilization in response to death squads of dictator Moise

Fanmi Lavalas supporters have opposed state-sanctioned and US-backed violence against the Haitian people since the illegitimate election of dictator Jovenel Moise in 2016. Since the party leader’s exile in 2004, President Bertrand Aristide, the Fanmi Lavalas party was excluded from the presidential ballot and Moise’s PHTK death squads went on a rampage.

The political organization Fanmi Lavalas sends its deepest condolences to all the victims of shootings by legal bandits of the PHTK government in Site Soleil, Bele, Delma 2, Delma 4, Delma 6, Matisan, Fontamara and other communities. Fanmi Lavalas condemns the PHTK death squad government for using all means to terrorize a steadfast and determined population in its demand for another form of government.

Over the past 10 years, the PHTK regime has completely devastated the country. The country’s institutions are not functioning. There is no public security, no hospital, no food, no job, no school – and the economy has collapsed as these criminals kidnapped the people’s government while working in association with gangs to keep the population in miserable conditions. The blood of the people continues to flow!

Despite the great mobilizations and massive demonstrations that have taken place in the country, there is still a section of the international community which has continued to support the anti-Haitian project of the PHTK. From 1990 to the present day, the OAS (Organization of American States) has never worked in the interest of the Haitian people.

There is no public security, no hospital, no food, no job, no school – and the economy has collapsed as these criminals kidnapped the people’s government.

We cannot forget the involvement of the OAS in the electoral coups of 2011 and 2017. We cannot forget their criminal silence as two coups d’état toppled a president whom the people had elected democratically.

The statement by OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro, supporting the extension of the alleged mandate of the defendant – the illegitimate regime of Haitian leader Jovenel Moise – and supporting the unconstitutional referendum, clearly shows that the OAS does not respect the Constitution of the country nor the Haitian people.

It is clear that no OAS mission can have credibility in resolving the current crisis in the country. The political organization Fanmi Lavalas will continue to stand alongside the Haitian people in the fight to overthrow the cauldron.

The mobilizations must continue in all their forms throughout the country. Continuous mobilization is the popular self-defense method that will lead to a resolute transition to break with this rotten system which is at its end. We can then put in place the bases of a new state model, with a government of “sali piblik” (public security) to guarantee respect for the will of the people.

Alone we are weak, Together we are strong, All Together we are Lavalas!
